Shawnee Mission Park
Shawnee Mission Park is 1,655 acres and includes a 120-acre lake, 11 shelters, picnic areas, nature trails, an archery range, a 44-acre dog off-leash area, disc golf, mountain biking and hiking trails, a pump track, and equestrian trails. The park's official page lists seasonal hours of 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. from March 1 through October 31 and 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. from November 1 through February 28, so group planners can schedule arrivals and departures around the published access window. A charter bus drops your group at the main parking areas near the lake without adding to the lot congestion that fills up on busy summer weekends.
